Job Profile:
As a Shift In charge, my job is meeting production plans by effective utilization of Man, Material, Machines & Methods & converting these resources into deliverables in terms of Quality, Cost, and Productivity & Safety.
Honda/Maruti being our customer, has set stringent targets of quality & delivery, hence I have to deliver the right quality parts at right time, this sense of responsibility & expectation of my seniors have made me fully prepared to next level.
Conduct daily stand up meeting& share information to the members on the previous day’s problem present day’s activities including any change points.
To meet the daily production targets with maximum utilization of all resources & Responsible for production & Quality of the products also.
Maximum utilization of available resources with higher efficiency. Identification & correction in minor stoppage.
To ensure that all necessary aids to the production are available for smooth functioning of Weld Shop (Man, Machine, Material, & Method).
Set production and allocate members to work based as per skill levels & update job allocation charts.
Ensure all the members wear the required PPE’s for safety and Ergonomic to ensure safe working area.
Attending daily production meetings and giving action plan for Ensuring safety of each operator through PPE audit, also by eliminating UC & UA.
Ensure the entire daily check sheets for the machines/equipment are done by members & the charts are updated.
Manage smooth and efficient operation of the production function of the shifts.
Ensure the section 5S is maintained at all times and take necessary action implement for better shop floor maintained.
Skill up of all the Members for multi skilling.
Work towards to the organization set goals for Quality, Safety, Cost and Productivity &interacting with PC, QC and maintenance to achieve the set goals.
Ensure kaizen & cost reduction activities are done in the section with the total involvement of all the members in the section.
Conducting daily Red Bin Analysis & take corrective and preventive action for internal rejection by applying various quality tools.
Taking stringent quality measures to ensure compliance with standards & customer requirements; minimizing internal rejection by implementing the quality systems - Poke-Yoke, Kaizen, etc. in Line Production and using various six sigma tools like FMEA & 3G analysis.
Attending Vehicle Audit, PDI, & Costumer Complaints and giving action plan for the same.
Preparation of 5-WHY Analysis Report, (Customer Defect Analysis Sheet), C/Measure submitted to the customer &monitoring the effectiveness of C/Measure also.
Maintain & reviewing weld shop Documents like PCS, PFMEA, OS (Operation standard), Skill Matrix, Check sheet or if any changes.
Understanding process requirements through discussions & providing best solutions by definition of scope&finalization of requirements; accountable for material planning and deployment for smooth production run and timely dispatch.
Executing & monitoring overall production activities with respect to cost, resource deployment and quality compliance for ensuring satisfactory project execution; managing on-site commissioning activities, Assembly, Sub assembly Line Setup, Line Balancing, etc. at the shop floor.
Participate in Change Implementation process for productivity improvement quality, space, and cost saving also.& Productivity through process improvement,
Identify, Plan and provide on-job training to operators for enhancing their versatility regarding ISO.
Training & leading professionals/ personnel at the Injection Moulding and providing direction to the teams for ensuring optimum operational performance.
Highlights:
Reduce Rework/Rejection PPM just 50 % improvement by working on part accuracy.
By introducing Check on Check, One Point Lesson Quality Alert, and Customer Complaint Part Display & Poke-Yoke (Mistake proofing) to avoid defects and reduce rejection at customer end.
New Product Development:
Managing the projects from initial development to final Production stage through Research & Development, Process validation etc.
Participating in weld assembly trial from MPT Trial, PPVT, Pilot Lot and S.O.P.
Conducting review meetings for improving Quality/Productivity/ Reliability with continual improvement.
To ensure defect free process with mistake proofing (Poke-Yoke) as per customer requirement for mass production.
