Duties:

a). Manage projects in the areas of NPD, Process and Cost Reduction. 

b). To provide technical support and advice to factory. 

c). To enhance / design, develop and characterize end-to-end.

d). Overall nodal point for compounding of plasticized PVC, XLPE and Semicon material.

e). Total material development for New Capacitor, Safety Electrical component, CFL and industrial gears.



Worked with a Ester Industries Ltd (80 Million US$ Group in BOPET, PET And EP Biz) as General Manager (R&D) since April 2006 to Nov 2007

Directs the Polyester Film and Chips R&D activities and reporting to the Managing Director of the Company. 

a). Develop, direct, and co-ordinate operational and strategic research efforts.

b). Participate in the planning and prioritization of projects, programs, and technical initiatives to develop new products and new technologies.  

c). Leading the team of R & D for the development of Bopet Film and Chips for Niche segment.

d). Development of sealable Polyester Chip and Heat Sealable Film with various features.

e). Development of coating for Value added films for various functional properties.

f). Development of alternate modifier and additive for Polyester and Copolyester.

g). Partner with senior business leaders and provide key input on the role and direction of Research and Development with regards to strategic planning and implementation.



Futura Polyesters Limited (140 Million USD Export Oriented Polyester Unit) As General Manager (R&D and QA: Polymers) From Jan 2003 to Mar 2006

a). Led a team of R&d engineers, technical services and quality assurance. 

b). Development of specialty polyester for niche segment.

c). Successfully implemented the development of Poly(ethylene naphthalate), Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) and Poly(trimethylene naphthalate) and other specialty polyester for micron film and multilayer applications. 

d). Process and recipe developed for high barrier polyester resin for barrier application, thick sheet and micron film application. 

e). Technical interface and nodal point for MNC customers viz. GEP, Shell, Mitsubishi, BP, CP, FaerschPlast, etc. 

f). Projecting the Company Profile and Specialty Polyester on International platform through exhibitions and conferences.
