Worked in Production Department of Finolex RPVC Pipe fittings like MTA, FTA, Elbow (450 & 900), Reducer T, Threaded T etc with sizes varying from Elbow ? ?? to 1??, MTA ? ?? to 2?, FTA ? 1?. Fittings were produced by Unscrewing, Collapsible and Sliding Core type mold systems. Assignments such as Cooling Tower Efficiency, Centralized Conveying System Design, Energy Cost of RPVC Pipe Fittings, Processing Considerations and Defects & Remedies of RPVC Pipe Fittings were carried out.



B.E PROJECT & SEMINAR

PROJECT TITLE: Optimization of PMMA Filled System (Marks: 150)

In the present work, two types of coupling agents namely, Titanate and Silane were considered. Optimization of the system is obtained by varying the percentage of coupling agent as well as filler with respect to the matrix. Compounding was carried out on single screw extruder. Test specimens were prepared on hand injection molding as per standards. The properties under consideration were tensile strength, impact strength, flexural, and heat deflection temperature (HDT). Final Application was to replace PC based systems used as electrical housing by PMMA based systems as arc resistance of PMMA is better than PC.



SEMINAR TITLE: Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites (Marks: 50)  

The Seminar was given in Third Year (TY) of Polymer Engineering. It was a part of Academic Curriculum.

Topics Covered: Types of Polymer Composites, Characteristics &Composition of FRP, Laminates, Manufacturing Processes, Design Considerations, Disposal & Recycling Concerns, Advantages & Limitations and Applications.
