NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION ON THE FLUID FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERSTICS ON A SINGLE CONFINED SLOT JET ON A SOLID BLOCK

Jet Impingement is used in many applications where extensive cooling (or) heating is necessary and to produce high heat transfer rate in a localized region. The re-attachment points for various block sizes and various H/D ratios were calculated. From the re-attachment points we able to conclude the best cooling region around the impinging jet.
