Responsibilities:

Compound Development - All types of compound development and their testings as per specifications.

Component Development - Molded, extruded and metal to rubber bonded items.



Product Testing

Static Testing of Engine Mountings, Bellows and Bump Stoppers.

Axial, torsional and conical stiffness, adhesion, compression of various rubber to metal bonded items.

Durability test.

To Check the Physical and Chemical properties in raw rubber & compound

Aniline Point

Evaluation of ash content

Evaluate volatile matter and moisture content

Boiling point and melting point

Specific gravity of liquids

Mooney viscosity of rubbers

Rheological properties



To check the physical properties in Components

Hardness, tensile strength, elongation, modulus

Tear strength, specific gravity, ozone resistance

Abrasion resistance

Low temperature brittleness, tension set properties

Accelerated ageing in air, oils, grease, fuels, water and chemicals

Bonding and fabric strength, compression properties

Polymer identification



All the above testing are undertaken as per customer specification, ASTM standards, SAE standards, JIS standards, DIN standards.
