B.E. Project: Recycling of Melt Blown Polypropylene [In collaboration with Aim Filtertech Pvt. Ltd. & MIT, Pune.

Role: Team Lead Duration: 9 months

Description: The aim of this project was to develop reusable granules of Polypropylene (PP) by reprocessing it and also develop a rotomoulding grade of PP. Melt blown PP having a very high melt flow index is difficult to process. So, in our study different types of additives at a calculated percentage were incorporated in PP and studied. Recycled PP was also blended in Virgin PP and studied.

June 2011 to July 2011 Duration: 1 month

Description: Worked in Quality Assurance Lab and learned the testing methods. Completed a one month project on ?Product Development FR_PBT? for testing flammability characteristics of polymer grade.
