Projects  Undertaken 

Quality control and toxicity reduction of PU foam:

An industrial project at Kurl-on Ltd. Aimed at quality control, toxicity reduction of PU foams as well as making it economical. The project involved replacing the catalysts of the condensation reaction between polyols and Isocyanate which reacted to Produce PU foams. After a thorough research methylene chloride (used as auxiliary blowing agent in the reaction) was replaced by Acetone (used only 50-55% of methylene chloride).The PH test proved a significant reduction of Acidic property in the PU foams and the cost was reduced to about 3%.
