Processing and testing of polymers.

Preparation of test specimens by injection molding technique according to standard?dimensions and testing various properties mentioned below:



Mechanical properties:Tensile test, Flexural test, Compression test, Impact test (IZOD and?CHARPY)

Thermal properties: Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Heat distortion?temperature (HDT), Vicat softening test(VST), Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA)

Rheological properties: Melt flow index(MFI), Capillary Rheometer

Other tests like measuring density of the material, ash content, mini cut vis.



Mini Project:

Project: Synthetic Films(Paper like films)

Objective: Development of product that can replace traditional paper for different

applications.
