Hydrogen evolution reaction using polyaniline coated copper substrate is analyzed by Cyclic Voltammetry. A plausible mechanism involved in HER in acidic and basic medium is discussed using Volmer-Heyrosky- Tafel steps and oxidation steps respectively. From the enthalpy of hydrogen adsorption and current density values calculated, it is inferred that polyaniline coated copper has the potential to store hydrogen effectively.
