Job Profile:

Presently working in the project involving synthesis of water based acrylic primer resin in Architectural coating. (Both Interior & Exterior)   

Part of a project involves synthesis of 100% water based acrylic resin for Interior in flat semi-gloss line which is successfully completed & the batch is in production. 

Successfully evaluated AAEM cross linking technology with or w/o cross linker for improvement of different properties in Architectural coating.

Successfully evaluated DAAM-ADH cross linking technology for improvement of different properties in Architectural coating.



Description: 

Synthesis, characterization & evaluation of 100% Acrylic polymers 

Evaluation of different components such as monomer, surfactants and other additives composition in 100% water based acrylic polymers 

Reaction basis, Tg calculation 

Preliminary characterization of emulsion polymerization batches such as particle size analysis, wt% solid & pH measurement 

Detail characterization of emulsion batches such as High shear test, centrifuge test, Foaming test, Water absorption & whitening test, sample preparation for DSC, MFFT, roller stability 

Evaluation of new surfactant combination (anionic &non-ionic combination) in ASPE route to reduce VOC content 

Performing scale up batches up to 2 kg

Paint batch making & QC testing for the respective emulsion batch

Contact various vendors for new raw materials &additives. In charge & stockist of all raw materials including monomers. Surfactants, special additives of the polymer synthesis lab.
