Job Profile: 

on crystallization study of polyethylene oxide in the presence of sticky molecules. 

In this work we investigate the influence of several bifunctional phenolic additives on the crystallization of a matrix polymer, polyethylene oxide using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), optical microscopy, small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and density functional theory (DFT). Different crystallizationrate can change the way polymer packs itself (structure) which can lead to significant change in mechanical and thermal properties of polymer

Other research projects:

Parallel to this work I have also worked on several other projects.

Study of shear induced crystallization and polymer chainorientation in PEO by using small angle X-ray scattering.

Study of orientation in cellulose fibre by using wide angle X-ray diffraction. 

Study of cross linking behavior of EPDM at different temperature and in the presence of different cross- linking agent by using different analytical techniques (ongoing project).

Drug loading in PEO matrix and its release study (ongoing project).

Six month B.Tech. Dissertation project entitled?Thermal Cracking of waste lube oil to produce Gas oil?, at JawaharlalDarda Institute of Engineering and Technology- Yavatmal, India October 2011 to March 2012 under the guidance of Prof. N. B. Chavanfor the partial fulfillment of B.Tech. degree.

Strong work experience in the field of polymer crystallization, structural and mechanical properties study, multi-tasking ability, project management, collaboration and troubleshooting skills.



Polymer Processing:

Blending of polymerbyusing DSM micro extruder, micro injection moldingand preparation of polymer blend by solution mixing.



Polymer analytical techniques:

Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC):I used this technique for thermal characterization of materials such as (melting point, glass transition temperature, crystallinity, crystallization time, Avrami exponent to predict shape of nucleus).



Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA): To measure the physical and chemical properties of material (such as weight loss with respect to temperature, degeradation temperature, moisture content, solid gas reaction due to oxidation and redction).



Rheometers (ARES G2 and MCR): For thestudy of mechanical properties of materials such as storage modulus, lossmodulus, creep compliance, viscosity, shear stress and shear strain.?



Polar optical microscope: For the study of microstructure of polymer, measurement of radial growth rate of polymer spherulites.



Small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) -For understanding of material structure and correlate this with mechanical and thermal properties of the polymer.



Wide angle x-ray scattering (WAXS) -For calculating polymer crystallinity and orientation of polymer chains.
