Underwent in-plant training at Kansai Nerolac Paints, Chennai, in the year 2012 for a span of 5 days in quality control and paint-making process. Underwent in-plant training at ACC cements, Coimbatore, in the year 2012 for a span of 7 days and gained insight on the steps that are involved in the process of manufacturing cement. Participation In Workshop Attended a workshop on Innovations for Sustainable Development held on 14th and 15th of September at Amrita School of Engineering, organized in collaboration with National Innovation Foundation and the University of Washington. The workshop involved the development of a business plan for a commercializable eco- friendly design of a solar cooker. Academic Projects B.Tech. (Major project): Project Title : E nhancement of Heat Transfer through Nanotexturing Tools, Methodology :Handy Surf, Chemical Etching Contribution : D esign, fabrication, experimentation, testing and characterization Description : T he aim of this project was to design and fabricate an experimental setup, study the enhancement of heat transfer in a chemically etched copper surface. B.Tech. (Minor project): Project Title : B iodegradable Cleansing Agent Contribution : D esign and fabrication of a dispenser, formulation of cleanser Description : T his project involved formulation of cleansing agents made of natural ingredients M.Tech. (Major project): Project Title : M esoscale Modeling of Polymer Solutions Platform used : M aterials Studio as simulation software, Perl as the scripting language Contribution : M odeling and simulation Description : T he main thrust of this project is to apply atomistic and coarse-grained modeling techniques for studying the structure-property relation of polymers. Implicit and explicit solvent models are used to gain insight on the miscibility of homopolymer in a solvent. The swelling and collapse behaviour of the polymer is studied at different solvent conditions. The polymers which exhibit this behaviour play an integral role in developing drug delivery devices that operate as swelling-controlled systems. Achievements And Awards Received the Certificate of Academic Excellence award in 2015 at IITH. Secured first place in a group event Down to Earth held during Anoka, technical fest organized by Amrita School of Engineering in 2014, for designing a 3D model of a sustainable house. Secured first place in the oral presentation event on the topic Removal of suspended colloidal solids present in waste water by using natural coagulants, an Industry Defined Problem statement given by General Electric, held during Anoka in 2014. Won first prize in a group event Then held during Anoka, technical fest organized by Amrita School of Engineering in 2012, for designing and fabricating a working model of a heat exchanger. Obtained Yuva Kala Bharathi award in 2005, for participating and winning prizes in various events. Other Activities Participated in Testla, an intra-college event and developed a working model of a Stirling engine at Amrita School of Engineering in 2011. Participated in the contraption event held at Shaastra 2011, technical fest organized by IIT Madras. Actively participated in the organizing team of the Chemical Engineering Department Day Celebrations in 2015, at IIT Hyderabad. was an active member in the extended core team of the organizing committee of ChEmference 2015, a National Level Conference hosted by the research scholars of IIT Hyderabad. Future Goals: To work in a position where my analytical skills and innovative thinking ability can be effectively used for the?progress of the organization and for the betterment of the society. ________________________________________________________________________________________
