Work Experience: 11.1 Work Experience Details: Fresher? Summary Of My Research Experience Ph.D Thesis This research work was aimed to develop a light weight material which can be used as shield for electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI is a noble kind of pollution which disturbs the normal operation of electronic appliances and adversely affects living/biological species. To avoid EM interference, nanocomposites were prepared using polypropylene random copolymer (PPCP) as matrix and multi walled carbon nanotubes (as conductive), Fe2O3 (as magnetic) and BaTiO3 (as dielectric) as filler materials. Series of nanocomposites were prepared by melt compounding using micro compounder. The dc conductivity of nanocomposites increased significantly in the presence of MWCNTs (~10-3 S/cm). The electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness was maximum (~-47 dB, 99.99 % attenuation) for the composite having 15 wt % MWCNTs loaded PPCP. These composites can be used for antistatic application and EM radiation shielding such as mobile casing, cabinet of television and computer etc. M.tech Thesis The main objective of this project was to utilized fly ash (which is a waste product from thermal power station) and converts it in to valuable filler for polymer industry. During project work, fabricated fly ash based HDPE composites (upto 35w/w) and characterized mechanical, thermal and rheological behaviour of composites. In second phase of project, modified fly ash using calcium carbonate to enhance the compatibility towards polymer and characterized in term of thermal, mechanical and rheological properties.
