Knowledge about Injection molds and their maintenance.

Sound skills in Production Planning & control, Documentation, Report filling using ERP software.

Knowledge about Lean Manufacturing practices and Quality Technology tools such as 5S, kaizen, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, JIT, 7QC tools, etc.

Knowledge about BRC (British Retail Consortium).

Sound knowledge about various plastic materials, their process and applications.

Basic knowledge about other plastic process such as Blow molding, Extrusion, Thermoforming, Compression & Transfer molding, Thermoset Injection Molding, FRP techniques etc.



Machines Handled:

The following Injection molding machines with tonnage varying from 160 Ton ? 450 Ton have been handled:

Toshiba (all electric) : 160 ton ? 350 ton

Engel (ram type) : 300 ton

Ferromatic milacron : 250 ton ? 450 ton

Hwa chin (dual color type) : 210 ton



Project

The following Project work has been done as part of the B.Tech Project work:

Monolube Cup design improvement for Mahindra & Mahindra Maxi Truck at Rane Madras, Chennai.

Metal to Plastic Conversion of Top cup in Ball joint for Volvo High Commercial Vehicle at Rane Madras, Chennai. This project involves Design, CAE analysis & Mold flow simulation.

Scholarship for outstanding performance in 12th grade from Vijayalakshmi Trust

Won Third prize in Elocution on Responsible Infrastructure organized by Builders Association of India (Southern centre), 2012.

Won First prize in Paper presentation in Technical symposium in Madras Institute of Technology, 2013.

Won Third prize in Elocution on Role of Polymers in the growth of Indian Economy in Techfeast, APM, CIPET, Bhubaneswar, 2014.
