Over nine years of hand on experience with well known polystyrene Manufacturing process industry, where I am involved in PS manufacturing Process, Polymer compounding, Injection moulding operations monitoring, Quality testing of finished products like GPPS and HIPS.

Involved in commissioning activities of specialty polystyrene plant, which was commissioned, with the consultation of Dr. Bakshi?s consultancy firm. Major vendor was Krupp Werner & Pfleider (Germany), Katron Soder, Plassmec (Italy)



Successfully handled independent operations of QC labs on several occasions with sound technical knowledge and the ability of excellent communication skill, presentation skill and relationship building ability, leadership qualities and team building.

Work Experience Details: 
Presently working as Production Engineer at a leading company and involved in operations of Specialty Polystyrene (SPS) plant, where we are carrying out Compounding of polymers. This compounding Plant is having three Twin Screw Extruder from Krupp Werener and Pfleider (W&P) of model ZSK 50 with capacity 1000 kg/hr & Lab scale model  ZSK 25 with the capacity of 80 Kg/hr.

   

Major Job Responsibilities:

Color matching of customer standards with the help of Spectrophotometer. (Make: GRATEG MECBETH).

Preparation of data bank of different Pigments and Dyes for GRATEG MEGBETH.

Development of different Fire Retardant Grade of rating UL, V0, V1 & V2.

Development of Glass Reinforced Polystyrene as per customer?s specifications. 

Development and Preparation of tough-end Polystyrene which is normally useful for Cap layers, disposable glasses.  

Development and preparation of master batches up to 70% filler loading. 

Development and preparation of polystyrene field and polypropylene field. 

Development and preparation of synthetic wood material and profiles.

Development and preparation of antistatic Polystyrene used stabilized Polystyrene etc.

Development and preparation of polypropylene compounds for automotive industries.

A leading company (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001) with annual turn over of around Rs.1100 Crore  And Polystyrene manufacturing capability of 260,000 Tons per year and 17,000 Tons/ annum of specialty polystyrene. 

Worked with QC/QA department for first 18 months, where I was responsible/conducted different activity like, raw material testing, finished product testing of Polystyrene via. MFI Tester (Kayness), Tensile Tester (Good Brand, Lloyd) Izod Tester (ATS FAAR,RAY RAN), Rockwell Hardness Tester (ATS FAR), Vicat Softening Point Tester (ATS FAR), Colorimeter (GRETAG MECBETH E- 7000A), GC, GPC, UV Spectrophotometer, Rubber Particle size analyzer, FR Tester HVUL (UL Standard). 

Also Operated & Monitored Injection Moulding Machine Make L&T (60 T), ENGEL (90 T) where I was involved in test product forming, Mould replacement, carrying out routine maintenance of moulding machines. 



Achievements:

Passed ISO/TS16949 for implementation, documentation and internal auditor.

Passed ISO certification examination and awarded ISO 9001:2000 certificates for internal quality audit.



Future Goals: 
Looking ahead to utilize my educational and practical experience, which I gained during 8 years of practical experience in Polystyrene manufacturing Industry where, I can achieve the goals with sincere and dedicated work. 

I am interested in making my career in the field of polymer compounding, and master batches based in polymers like PS, PE, PP, etc.
