DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall responsibilities of Production, Production Planning, scheduling, QC, Stores, Dispatches and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipments.

Initiate correction in molds and product improvement in coordination with Design and Development and Tool room department.

Recruitment and training of technical staff related to production, quality, stores and purchase.

Implementing systems to improve productivity, reduce down time, cost reduction etc.

Analysis of customer complaint and taking remedial action for improving quality in coordination with QC and production staff.

Implementing SPC and R&R for continual improvement of process.

Implementing Lean manufacturing in plant.

Monitoring OEE on daily basis. Suggesting needful to increase the same in case it is low. 

Analysis for shortfall in deliveries, quality defects, downtime, etc and making & implementing CAPA in 6M format for same.

Ensuring adherence to safety & operating instructions to enhance safety levels and productivity.

Taking trials of new molds and assist design and development team during trial cum process qualification of new products for mold trials and prepare trial report and ensure appropriate process parameter.

Coordinate design and development department and plant during new product development. 

Ensure rectification and changes in mold for fitment, aesthetics and operational smoothness.

Attend trial cum process qualification of existing products at factory and ensure that the process parameters are established.

Analysis of quality detects and takes remedial action for improving quality in coordination with processing engineers for molding defects and tool room engineers for mold modification.

Initiate correction in mold and product improvement and promptly communicate design and development department in case of modification in mold, material, processing, and packing, for updating design records.

Implementing SPC for continual improvement of process.

Achievements: have reduced cycle time of many molds by 30%. Established 4 new molds with cycle time of 4.2 to 5.0 Sec.
