Responsible to ensure smooth functioning of the tool room operations

Tool design review with design & production departments to reduce the criticality in process planning , tool

manufacturing cost & lead time

Prepare Monthly & day by day machine wise schedule based on production planning, customer urgency,and NPD

Process planning for press tools & fixture includes design review , manufacturing, assembly, tool trial and documentation

Resource planning includes raw material, man power, quality instruments, machines

Ensure the tooling production as per rated capacity, control and trouble shooting of components and material 

Operators performance review and Machine OEE Calculation

Follow up and coordination with tool makers to reduce the tool break down time

Vendor finalization for outsourced new tooling development in india and Abroad

Supplier followup and review to get the tooling on time and avoid production losses

Implementation of lean concepts includes 5S, Kiazens, poke yoke, TPM to improve machine OEE and quality of tool 

Resolving the internal issues by using 8D

Costing- raw material cost, pricing of new too-lings

Tooling performance evaluation in respect of tool process , tool life, tool quality and suit the production requirements

Continuous improvements in supplier tool design to make it cost effective & ensured better tool life, better component

quality and productivity

New machines installation and commissioning
