Engineer - Polymer Testing

from March 05 to June 07. 

Worked with Vimta Labs Ltd., one of the leading contract research labs having state-of-art testing facilities in Analytical - Foods, Water, Drugs, Trace analysis, Plastics, etc., accredited to NABL, BIS & ISO organisation. they are also in fields of Clinical research & Bio-analytical studies & Environment assessment. 

Successfully developed testing facilities as per IS 15410:2003 for PET bottles & jars for packaged drinking water & obtained Accreditation from NABL. Handled the department individually with business & quality awareness & customer satisfaction in testing of plastic. 

Plan & carry out the testing of plastics & rubbers as per IS, ASTM, BS, ISO & other standards or customer procedure

CIPET is Government of India Organisation under Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers with fully equipped for plastic products & raw materials in India with certification from NABL, BIS, ISO & BVQI. 

As a Analyst - Testing ofv plastic products like pipes, fittings, tanks, foams, laminates, for its physical, mechanical, thermal properties as per relevant standards such as IS, ASTM, BS, DIN, JIS & UL. 

Analysis of plastic materials & products by using chemical methods, analytical & instrumental techniques for polymer identification, Blend/filler / contamination analysis. 

Interpretation of Physio-Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical & Thermal properties of products & verifying the conformation on specification. 

Preparation of test specimens from products like pipes-UPVC, HDPE & also, by injection molding in case of raw materials. 

Individually Handled AAS in testing of UPVCv pipes for Effect on water Testing as per IS 4985:2000 & submitted the test results to NABL Auditors in Final Audit in January 2007. 

Faced Several Audits Internal & ISO in Training Activities, & BIS- Regular & NABL. 

Have hands on experience with Mechanical machines like UTM- Instron,v Lloyds, Hardness Tester, AAS, MFI, HDT, VST, etc. 

Knowledge on instrumental analysis such as DSC, TGA, TMA, GC. 

Strict adherence in documentation work in testing & training activities in accordance to NABL, ISO, BIS. 

Visited Factory Sites for testing of HDPE Pipes on third party inspection to various places, & generated report on their acceptance tests.
