Presently working with a leading company 

Responsible for design and development of Gear Shifter mechanisms, interior and exterior rear view mirrors, Wind shield washer systems, for Leading Automotive companies like GM, TML, M&M, Ford, TKML, HMC. 

As a project Head currently handling various projects of Tata Motors under various segments (Microbus, Small Car, World Truck, UV Crossover) and Renault (Logan, L-90) with a team size of 5 and other team members from various departments QA, Purchase Development, manufacturing Engineering, Marketing) reporting to me. 

To coordinate with partner located at Spain and France in order to execute project management wherever the projects are initiated from the partner. Currently dealing with partner (Ficosa France) for product development of Rear vision systems for the Logan (L-90) platform. 



Highlights 

Dealing with Top Auto OEMs like Tata Motors, General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi Motor Corporation, M & M, FIAT, Renault India, Mahindra Renault India for various projects as a Project Head. 

Completed the Design for Corsa Outside Rear View Mirror with technical support from Joint venture Ficosa International at Barcelona, Spain during period May 99 to August 99 for 3 months. 

Visited TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation) for Technical review of Outside Rear view Mirror held at TMC (Toyota Motor Corp., Japan) during Jan 2004. 

Handled various projects successfully as a Project Head, few of them are as follows, 

L-90 Logan Vision systems. (Project at final execution) 

Rear vision systems for New Facelift Indica / Indigo/Indigo XL with state of art technology incorporated in rear vision systems. Also working on other platforms like Microbus, Small car and UV cross over of TML. 

Gear shifter mechanism for Mitsubishi Lancer 

Parking Brake Lever mechanism for Lancer 

Outside Rear View mirror for Opel Corsa 

Outside Rear View mirror for Indica 

Outside Rear View mirror for Toyota IMV, 692N (Under development)

Major activities involved and handled as a Project head are: 

Getting inputs from Customer. 

Discussing the complete technical and performance requirements. Discussing with raw material makers and finalizing of the price with them. Few of them are Dupont, BASF, BAYER, Rhodia, SRF, Zylog, GE, Polyplastics, DSM 

Mitsubishi Engg Plastics, Reliance India Ltd etcc. 

Freezing the Performance Evaluation Plan with Customer. 

Finalising the materials based on the performance and Validation plan received. 

Cost estimation of the product including all expenses for Design and development and estimation of RMC (Raw material cost) and selling price of the product. 

Design and development of the products using CATIA V 4.2.2, Catia V5 R16 

APQP documentation as per TS16949 norms. 

Prototyping after 3D cad modeling using RPT techniques 

Fine tuning in Design after RPT trials 

Freezing the design with customer approval. 

Finalising Tool makers and dealing with them for tool making activity. 

Data translations, technical support to toolmakers to the stage until the part is completely approved dimensionally and functionally. 

Testing of the products at various accredited test laboratories like ARAI, CIRT and customer specific tests to be carried on the product. 

Obtaining the compliance of the product as per Government Regulations. 

Handling the TS16949, other statutory audits, updating the standards closing the NC`s (Non conformances) raised by auditor. Reviewing, updating the Design procedures
