Job Profile

Responsible for development and procurement of LCD, PLASMA and CTV materials. 

To collect all data regarding new models (LCD, PLASMA & CTV) from design department like- design BOM, design data, product specs, memory data, exclusive list, colour scheme. 

Follow up with material & Design dept. for getting the samples of exclusive parts required for new model. 

Running the mould of exclusive parts at plastic molding shop, taking the samples for evaluation and approving the same. 

Checking and approving the samples of new and exclusive components required for new model. 

Making sets, as per specs, taking the observation, finding out and analyzing the problems and implementing the solutions. 

Correcting design BOM as per actual and offering the sets to CQA (Central Quality Assurance) Dept. for evaluation. 

Solving CQA NC if any and implementing the same in production BOM and finally releasing production BOM after CQA release. 

Arranging materials for TTR-2 (20-100 sets) and make sets on production line to get familiar the production department with the NEW model. 

Make detail routing and costing of the raw materials. 

Offering sets to CQA and OQC (Outgoing Quality control) Dept for observation. 

Solving the NCs if any correcting the production BOM and finally dispatching the sets to PDI (Pre Dispatch Inspection). 

After PDI clearance carrying out first mass production on production line. 

Attending NEW MODEL & ECR/ECO meeting for required improvements and implementations. 

Making documentations of all the reports as per ISO format for further reference and audit. 

To develop the components of LCD & PLASMA (sheet metal parts) and CTV (speakers, connectors etc), prior to new model launching. 

Sending the drawings & specification of new components to vendors and follow up for 

getting the samples. 

Offering the samples to Design and Process department for approval and functional 

verification. 

Costing and price settlement with vendors after sample approval. 

Maintaining source list & info record. 

Planning the monthly requirement of materials from the MASTER PLAN given by planning department. 

Checking PR for the same quantity and making PO 

If PR is not available then analyzing the cause and making suitable corrections in material master or BOM for getting the actual benefit of MRP run. 

Getting checked, approved, authorized the PO and sending it to vendor. 

Bringing materials as per the plan and ensuring material availability before production starts. 

Maintaining the inventory level minimum. 

Creating new KANBAN items and maintaining the existing KANBAN items. 

Increasing KANBAN items on monthly basis to maintain inventory level minimum and 

achieve no material shortage for production. 

13. Alternative vendor development if the situation demands so (cost reduction, increase in demand, less lead time etc). 

Follow up with vendors and clearing the daily shortage of production line. 

Solving the stores and account related issues of vendor. 

Keeping the important documents in order so as to get it easily when required and for 

audit. 

Maintaining required quality of the material.
