Operations and Maintenance

Operation and maintenance of  cold rolled mills (2HI, 4 HI, and 6HI) Tube Mills (Electrical Resistance Welding) and Draw

benches (Cold Drawn Welded) controlled by PLC's, sequential Logic Controllers Allen Bradley and Siemens etc., with Siemens and control technique DC Drives.

Planning the Maintenance activities (Shift wise, weekly, Monthly, Opportunity etc.,)

Trouble shooting logical problems in an automated line using PLC's of Allen Bradley and Siemens.

Following the LLF theory in all the areas to avoid machine breakdowns.

Planning and following effective PM schedules of machineries of cold rolled mills, Tube Mills, Draw benches  Drives, Servo drives, DC/AC Motors, starters, Auxiliaries, circuit breakers etc., to increase machine up time  and Equipment reliability.

Planning the shift activities at the beginning of the shift.

Developing new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement aiming towards Zero Break Down and and developing             guidelines for the Maintenance Activities

Working towards the targets and achieving good results to the team.

Assessing the performance and updating of Documents for TQM and TPM Requirements.

Maintaining the 5S in the shop floor.

Monitoring the Quality circle team's performance and facilitating them to meet TQM.

Designing of layouts for the machineries like Power control centers, Motor control centers, Transformers etc., anticipating the future expansions.

Getting quotations from the suppliers, negotiating and taking part in the technical discussions for Spares and Consumables.

Preparing comparative statements for the Capital purchases.

Taking care of erection and commissioning of the machinery assigned as per the drawings and specifications of Tube Mills and Cold Rolled Mills processing lines having Roller conveyors, Blowers, Ovens, Driers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, PLCs, etc.,
