Projects:

1. Technology for marble tile using resin:

The technology has been developed in Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) for the waste marble bound with resin matrix. The tiles showing a improved strength in comparison to tile available in market. The idea into converts a waste material into a viable product using thermoset resin matrix. The unique interaction between the marble and matrix has been studied and the technology is ready.



2. Casting of Unsaturated Polyester Resin - A Case Study.

To estimate the optimum curing time of an Unsaturated Polyester Resin and to get highly finished or polished surface (glass finish) and transparent product without using any mold release agent like internal as well as external mold release agent with room temperature curing condition. Using a simple casting process, trails were made to obtain defect free product, it can replace glass applications. The products are also easily tailored and fabricated for its usage in decorative applications.



3.Thermoforming Products

The important views in applications of thermoforming Products and its major properties, production etc.,



Training:

* Attended a Training Program on Rubber Products and Manufacturing for a period of 10 days at Rubber Research Institute, Kottayam.

* Attended a Training program on Manufacturing of Mold using CAD/ CAM/ CNC

for period of one week at CIPET, chennai.

* Attended a Training program on plastic testing and processing for a period of 5 days at CIPET, Mysore.

* Attended a Training program on Attributes of quality in extrusion and injection based products for a period of 5 days at (CIPET) Madurai.



Inplant Training Details:

* Three months training in Sundaram Industries Limited (TVS), Madurai.	      

* Three months training in Rohini Power and Control Products Pvt. Limited, Madurai.

* Three weeks intensive training at Ganesh Saravana Industries, Thirumangalam
