Project And Training:

Project on Manufacture of Single Impression Hand Injection Mould for ?PIPE END CAP? at Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Mysore.

Brief Overview of Project-

This project aimed at analyzing the mould design of the product, the manufacturing techniques and the selection of suitable mould material for the product. This also involved, assessing the approximate mould cost for the product, and analyzing the actual addition of the shrinkage value.



Industrial training and project in the field of mould making and maintenance at Gandhimathi Home Appliances Ltd. (Butterfly).



Worked on manufacture of moulds for Home Appliances such as Table top grinder inner locater, Mixer jar base, Jar handle, Doom lid, Cooker side handle, 1.5 liter pulley mould, 11.2 liter table top grinder body etc.

Handled conventional machines such as Lathe, Shaper, Surface grinding machine, Cylindrical grinding machine, Radial drilling machine and Milling machine.

Moulds were carefully manufactured to the closest tolerance using the latest equipment such as digital vernier calliper, digital micrometer, dial indicator etc, and the prototype was created as per the Mould Design.

Preventive maintenance was done as per schedule to increase the life of the mould, overall productivity and to reduce the downtime.

Trouble shooting of different Moulds was carried to overcome defects such as Short Shot, Flow Marks, Sink Marks, Weld Line, Excessive Warpage/Shrinkage, Sprue Sticking, Sinks and Voids, Flashing etc.
