Job Profile:

Material Planning And Procurement

Scheduling: Finalizing the Tentative and Confirmed Schedules on the basis of the production orders, production targets, minimum and maximum stocks levels, wip stock, safety stocks, etc.



Material Procurement: Procuring material in the following areas to avoid any production loss, assembly line stoppage, etc.

i) RAW MATERIAL: Based on the monthly schedule received from Subros,

monthly raw material planning is done

(ii) BOP ITEMS: I have been independently bearing the responsibilities of procuring plugs, tube connectors and sleeves, etc. Total no. of items being procured are more than 300 nos. and from approx. 200 various vendors.

(iii) OEM SPARES: I have been carrying out purchase to the value of approx. Rs 15 lac per annum for various OEM spares of different kinds viz. Electricals Parts & Machinery Parts.While carrying out the above mentioned procurements, I have also been involved in the following activities:

Preparation of shortage list of those items for which on-line stock is less than the required minimum level.

Constant follow-up with the vendors for critical items;

To monitor the Vendors? Performance Ratings and to provide them remedies to improve the rating;

To co-ordinate with transporters for material movement within as well as outside the plant in order to avoid the production line stoppage;

To monitor the P.O.s, pending reports, tracking of the delivery schedules, pending payment requests, Job Work Challans, etc.

Co-ordinate with the Q.C. personnel to maintain the desired quality level of productsand to inform the supplier when the lot is rejected;

Personnel activities like employee-motivation, training of shop-floor people, infusion of job-dedication and team-work spirit among workers, maintaining cordial relations with manpower, etc.

 

Price Negotiations:

This being today?s prime job-requirement, I have got experience of using various techniquesof negotiation with the vendor for getting reduction on their existing prices / quotes. Also, bringing in cost reduction by developing alternate suppliers with reduced cost and presenting the data in the monthly MMCM.

 

Key Account Management / CRM

Identifying key/institutional accounts and strategically secure profitable business.

Giving product presentations to prospective clients all over India and generating enquiries.

Relationship building with decision makers and key buyers in pre-sales negotiation stages.
