Senior Product Development Engineer

Company Profile: A Japan based with 5S, ISO, TS-16949 and TIER-1supplier for OEM concerns, involved in design-development, tool design, manufacturing and production of moulds for different precision plastic products and rubber for car, mobile & home. Few main clients are Sony, Toyota, Panasonic, Sanyo Automedia, Tokairika, TRAM, Kenwood, JVC, Kyocera, Pioneer etc.

Job Profile:

APQP preparation for new product. Process flow chart to complete tooling. CAE to check cycle time, stress, sink mark, webpage and position of gates.

DFM to show defects of manufacturing and design. If any, feasibility discussion with customer / direct place meeting with customer.

Tool design after approval from customer and responsible for clear communication after design release. Solving technical problems with engineering team after mould trial.

FAI report have to verify and discuss with tooling team to modify mould, before next trial. Designing Varity of jigs and press tools for secondary process.

Kaizen for trouble shooting the mould and product appearance. Work in conjunction with Project and Production team to build prototype to ensure that the designs can be manufactured within the set constraints expressed by the client.

Projects Handled: Successfully completed different types of tool design and product development related to plastics such as car interior audio panels, buttons, ipod covers, mobile keypad & covers etc.



Mould Design Engineer

DFM with potential issue will produce to customer in MS PowerPoint for approval. Development of design projects from start to finish with inputs and collaboration from Project Engineers. 

Formulate and turn ideas into sketches that are later developed into 2D and 3D drawings. Mould construction and mould modification at development partners.

Prepare design and technical specifications for vendors Collaborate with peers in other disciplines in the feasibility study and design, and ensure delivery of quality service for clients.

Provide cutting edge design solutions as to achieve client?s requirements. Mould documentation sheet, ISO documents has to prepare.



Projects Handled: Successfully designed different types of mould with hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as JMS Blood port, glucometer assembly parts, syringe pump, plasma extractor, Medical scan top cover etc.

Worked as a faculty, mean while reverse engineering, design-development also handled. Interacts with customers about complete products within schedule date.

Responsible to go directly to the customer place and to solve technical problems occurring in product development. GD&T parameters had to set for completed drawings.

Onsite deputation for minimum period as per concern request. Design-development of Tea coffee vending machine for nearly 1yr.
