Project To study the TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography).



Thin layer Chromatography is technique used to isolate the various components of a mixture. It is performed on a sheet of glass which is coated with thin layer of absorbent material, usually silica gel, aluminum oxide, cellulose.

Studied by performing two reactions:-

Condensation reaction of cyclohexanone by conventional process.

Condensation reaction of cyclohexaenone in microwave oven.



Application Of  TLC:

Monitor the progress of reaction.

Identify the compounds present in given mixture.

Determine the Purity of a product.
