Job Description

Job Title - Asst. Manager R&D and QC
Location: Otta, Nigeria
Report to: QC and R&D Manager

Manage/Supervise: 8 (Team Size)
No of Expats & No. of Local Employees: All Local Employees
Coordinate with: Production Team, QC Team, R&D Team

Responsibility: Lab Development
New development
Quality control
Maintain running production quality
Maintain all lab equipment
Coordinate with plant employees
Record all data.
Checking machines properly when grade change
Inspection of inward raw material
Inspection of outward material
Inspection of running production
Maintain machine parameters
Reduce costing
Formulations of new Grades
Staff training
Selection of raw material
Coordinate with marketing people
Reuse rejection material properly
MR for ISO related activity and documentation

Key Competencies:
Excellent skills of process setting & root cause analysis, solving production and quality problems,
Technical expertise to understand design, modification of design, develop new products.
Good expertise of safety and wealthy environment, hygienic workplace, manpower control, wastage control and improve quantity and quality.

Knowledge and Experience - Should possess at least 5-7 years’ experience in Color Masterbatch industry Polymers and additives testing
Very good experience in processing of LDPE/ PP/ LLDPE/ pigments/ TIO2/CACO3/ Additives
Knowledge of effect use of spectrophotometer is a must

For International Recruitment:
Savings Potential: $ 1200 - 1600 p.m. depending on the credentials (offshore net savings shall be paid on a quarterly basis to candidate’s designated account)
Variable Component: 0-3 months (Based on Performance)
Local Allowance: As per company policy paid in Local currency on monthly basis
Visa Status: Individual Status
Accommodation: Furnished company provided shared accommodation, as per policy
Transport: Company provided and maintained car and fuel for official purposes as per policy
Medical: At actual for treatment undertaken in Nigeria for self-subject to Company Policies
Contract Period: 24 Months, mutually renewable
Leave: 30 calendar days, post competition of 12 Months
Passage: After 12 months, for Nigeria-India-Nigeria, on company’s choice of airline and route specified by the company for self

Qualifications - B. Sc Chemistry / CIPET Graduate or Diploma
Experience - 5 to 7 years experience in Color Masterbatch industry Polymers and additives testing
