As a consultant, I have developed and manufactured plastic dies for the following industry sectors.
Automobiles:
Dies were developed for couplers used in wiring harness, bulb holders for 2-wheelers and 4 - wheelers. Petrol filter dies for 2 wheelers ranging from single cavity suitable for hand molding machines to 16 cavity fully automatic vertical screw insert molding machine
Electrical: Designed, manufactured end-to-end and assisted in assembly of complex industrial rotary switches. Other dies includes 3-plate moulds, insert
moulds and side core moulds
Medical: Dies for ‘Y’ type poly carbonate connectors used in blood transfusion lines during surgery. These dies call for smooth and flash free finish on the inside of the component. Also designed and manufactured, first- aid kit box for export, taking their standards into consideration, the size of box being 280 x 220 mm and die size being 450 x 450 suitable for horizontal screw automatic injection molding machine.
Education: Dies, jigs and fixtures were developed for atomic model to represent different chemicals and compounds for easy visualization by school students.
