Job Profile & Experience:
Tool Development:
Manage the schedule of all tooling and molds being manufactured at suppliers end.
Monitor and manage the mold manufacturing process, tooling capacity to ensure the adequate availability at suppliers end.
Maintain all tooling schedules, tooling management reports, tool tracking reports
Co-ordinate with internal cross functional team for specific tooling requirements and quality norms.
Arrange the supplier meeting for initial mold design review and concept approvals
Work upon Process Improvement Project at supplier end to achieve the process efficiency and improve the assurance of Quality Supply with Zero PPM.
New product design and development
Providing support to CAD designers by addressing tooling related issue on new design and giving the inputs for Value Engineering, Design for manufacturability and assembly inputs
Mold costing, estimation for new project & proposing cost effective methods
Initiate to create the require document to place a tooling purchase order on finalized supplier
Interact with tool maintenance team for all molds preventive maintenance schedules, Breakdown analysis, Spare managements and verifications of documentations.
Guide the tooling engineer to specify the Tool Qualification process and relevant approval process to be deployed
Business Development:
Works with the Business managers to identify the potential clients within automobile engineering service sectors
Works with Engineering Services managers to look for new technological advantages and business opportunities in India
Identify the business opportunities and create the business funnel for the organiza
