Job profile -
Coordinate with production In-charge on work progress and schedule on daily activities of work.
Visual inspection for surface cleanliness, degree of dust, visual check prior to start the blasting work.
Checking the anchor profile with 30x magnifier and type of finish with surface profile, compare with blasting.
Checking surface roughness as per specification Iso 8503- 5 Checking the chemical pre- treatment concentration of phosphoric acid solution
should be 10-12 % or as per manufacturer recommended . Checking the dwell time of phosphoric acid minimum should be 20 sec.
Checking ph of pipe surface before De-ionised Water wash 1-2 & after De-ionised
Water wash 6-7 . Checking the chemical treatment , concentration of chromate solution should be
10-12 % or as per the manufacturer recommendations.
Checking the temperature before chromate pre treatment,pipe shall be uniformly heated 40-80 C & Bare pipe heating before FBE application 190- 260 C or as
per epoxy manufacturer recommendations.
Adhesive and polyethylene temperature should be 200-230 C and 220-260 C respectively . Recording of application parameters like line speed, number of running epoxy gun, epoxy powder pressure & gun pressure, dew point of air , inter coat time & quenching time Measuring FBE thickness , Adhesive thickness and Total coating thickness should
not be minimum as per customer requirements.
Visual inspection for contacting surface free from other irregularities of the coating.
Checking V- cut and cross cut as per specification ISO 21809-2 or rating 1 and 2.
Performing bond strength test as per ISO 21809-1 & DIN 30670 both hot or coldmedium . Check cut Back as per customer requirements or Approved QIP
Coordinate with the plant Inspector pertaining to the daily inspection activities andinspection report and documentation for final inspection
by using ERP System.
Impact testing.
Holiday Testing.
Give training to the new inspectors on various testing instruments. Ensuring calibrated instruments are used forinspection and testing.
Maintaining of calibration records.
Final inspection of seamless pipe.visualy inspection of ERW & Seamless pipe, ID lapping, straightness, dent, root face, bevel angle,
Residual magnetism etc.
