Job Responsibilities
Client interaction, Project planning, scheduling & execution of injection molding simulation of plastic parts from the client cad data/ BOM for all the built to print and FSS programs to the Program management. Engineering and business development through consulting.
Leading the injection molding simulation team with various analysis Fill, Pack, Cooling, warpage, Fiber, Gas assisted Molding, Core deflection analysis, overmolding, 2K molding and insert molding analysis.
Injection molding simulation support from concept design to manufacturing and it would be extended if required for T0, T1, AAR, SOP, PSW.
Coordination with CFT Team to implement the design changes and to release the cad model for tooling.
Interaction with the tool makers to build the tool as per the requirement.
Execute R&D and VA/VE Projects to improve the quality, cost reduction and cycle time of process.
Providing valuable suggestions to select platic material grades with respect to the OEM specification to improve the quality or to reduce system cost and handled various plastics and blended materials PP, PC, ABS, Nylon, POM, HIPS, PMMA,TPE, PBT.
Plastics product development from concept design to manufacturing with the optimal wall thickness to avoid weld lines, sink marks, warpage/shrinkage and to reduce the cycle time of process and cost to launch the program with required quality on time.
Concept Mold development during the product design to achieve desired clamp tonnage, injection pressure and to reduce system cost of injection molding process.
Providing valuable solutions for the modification of mold design/product design if the problem persists with existing product.
Support during the trials in the molding shop with injection molding machines from 50 Tonnage to 2700 tonnage which includes 2K molding and providing optimized molding parameters to achieve the required product quality.
Fiber analysis to predict the fiber orientation, optimize the fiber orientation in terms of design changes to improve the strength of the product and the results will be exported to Structural analysis to test the product.
Gas assisted analysis to optimize polymer and gas fraction and weight reduction.
Providing training and knowledge sharing to the colleagues to built the Team.
Handling work pressure and delivery results to clients to meet timeline.
