Deciding a Die Line if not provided and creating close body considering environment parts and assemblies, maintaining the required Gap and Flush.
Applying packaging principles to obtain the best possible fit between parts
Designing the part avoiding plastic defects and enhancing manufacturability.
Analyzing Parts and Assemblies for clashes and gap conditions using Space Analysis Tools.
Creating and Updating 2D, BOM, etc.
Reverse Engineering & Value Engineering for Auto components.
Project Handled:
Grab Handle Inner (X540 - Console)
A-Surface as Input, Tool line was created and Draft analysis done. B-Surface was made with Offset.
With the Environment as reference Close Body made avoiding clashes and maintaining Gap condition with surround parts and Environment.
Created Flanges as and were required.
Added Screw Boss and Locators for packaging.
Draft Analysis for checking manufacturability.
Centre Air Vent And Outer Air Vent (X540- IP)
A-Surface as input, Created Close Body for Air Vent Bezel.
According to the received section plan and Gap Condition Housing was created.
Created Front Vanes and Rear Vanes according to Section.
Positioned Cursor and created Pin and Vanes connecting link for Vanes direction control mechanism.
Positioned Thumbwheel and Created Shutoff, Shutoff Rubber, Connecting Links and Lever for Shutoff Control Mechanism.
Created Split Housing adding a Flange and Snap Mechanism between the Front and Rear Housing.
Features for Vanes and Clips added to Housing.
END CAP (X540 – Instrument Panel)
A-Surface as Input, Tool line was created and Draft analysis done. B-Surface was made with Offset.
With the Environment as reference Close Body made avoiding clashes and maintaining Gap condition with surround parts and Environment.
Created Flanges as and were required.
Added Clip Towers.
Draft Analysis for checking manufacturability.
Ducts (X540 – Console/IP)
Created Air Vents Ducts for Instrument Panel and Console
Created Ducts under Part Design and Surfacing.
Maintaining uniform thickness and Minimum Gap condition from the environmental parts.
Maintaining a Proper Tool Line and Split Line.
Duct path and Shape was made so as to facilitate Smooth Flow while maintaining a Minimum Cross Section area throughout the length and avoiding any clash with surrounding parts obtaining maximum efficiency between inlet and outlet.

To check the part for space analysis with surrounding mating part and if any clash occurs it is to be rectified as required and / or respect to assembly parts.
Analyzing whether the part has any clash or contact with the mating surfaces using the ‘clash’ tool in space analysis tool bar.
Project Handled: 
Arm Rest (Door Trim):  
A-Surface was the input. B surface was offset and the problematic surfaces were extracted from A surface and offset individually.  B surface was made with the help of operation tool bar 
Closed surface was made with the help of surrounding environment
Draft analysis was carried out and parting lines were shown.
Depressions and Holes for Heat Stakes were created.
Draft Analysis for checking manufacturability.
MAP Pocket (Door Trim):
A-Surface was the input. B surface was offset and the problematic surfaces were extracted from A surface and offset individually.  B surface was made with the help of operation tool bar 
Creating Flanges as per Environmental data. 
Draft analysis was carried out and parting lines were shown
Used Space analysis tool, to analyze whether the part has any clash or contact with the mating surface. 
Checked 1 litre & ½ litre bottle feasibility. 
Sunvisor (Tesla Model X): 
A-Surface was the input. B surface was offset and the problematic surfaces were extracted from A surface and offset individually. B surface was made with the help of operation tool bar
Closed surface was made with the help of surrounding environment
Closed body was made
Opening was created for entry of Arm.
Created Snap features for Entry Cap.
Draft analysis was carried out and parting lines were shown
