Title: Preparation of Synthetic Bamboo. Synthetic bamboo is man-made bamboo which has more preferable properties than natural bamboo like impact strength, chemical resistance etc. For preparing this phenol formaldehyde is most preferable raw material. The properties of this bamboo depend on catalyst & molar ratio of the above raw materials. In actual process the prepared resol resin is applied on cotton cloth & it is rolled. After curing it shows excellent properties over natural bamboo. The synthetic bamboo is mainly used for construction and decoration purpose because of its excellent properties such as: good tensile strength, good impact strength, and fungicidal resistance.
