Project done on Alternative Fuels On Turpentine Oil.
The main objective of this project is to use MINERAL TURPENTINE oil that is produced from vegetables oils, used as an alternative to petroleum fuels which gives better performance, Emission characteristics and reliable to use. The performance and emission characteristics were studied with blended fuels containing 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% of Mineral Turpentine oil in diesel. It is proved from various experimental investigations that the engine fuelled by neat Mineral Turpentine oil shows very close performance with that of petroleum fuels.
