Battery carrier used to carrying the batteries of 180 Kg in the heavy vehicles which was manufactured by metal and the process of making this carrier was long & it’s a time taking process. So, it may lead the cost as well. We have done a value engineering process to transform the battery carrier from metal to plastics successfully.
Mould design effects of polymer Fresnel lens manufacturing

Polymer Fresnel lens are used in the many applications like solar application, light tower, projector and so on. We studied the challenge of manufacturing this Fresnel lens by means of CAE manufacturing simulation with Autodesk moldflow. We have done the geometry optimization of feed system of mold to ensure the optical quality as well as the process parameters of injection molding process. FRP mould for Candle manufacturing

Description of project:
The low cost Fiber reinforced plastic mold was successfully done with help of glass fiber as well as unsaturated polyester resin. We used metal as an insert, in-order to increase thermal conductivity. This project was appreciated by chairman of our college because of poor people can utilise this mold to manufacture their candle. We catch first prize for this project in the competition.
