Setting of various chemical reactions followed by their work out for the synthesis of new organic
compounds.
Characterization of new compounds by FTIR, H-1 and C-13 NMR, chromatography (GPC), HPLC,
mass spectroscopy etc.
Carrying out various titrations (pH and redox titrations).
Synthesis of polymers and their testing.

retardant) additives.
Supervisors: Prof. Veena Choudhary (IIT Delhi) & Dr. Shashikant (IOCL. R&D, Faridabad).
Objective of Project: Development of halogen free flame retardant polypropylene nano-composites
with improved thermal and mechanical properties which may find applications in automotive
industries.

M.Tech Project: Carried out at IIT Delhi and GE-India, Bengaluru.
Title: Designing of hydrogels and silicone hydrogels for bio-medical applications.
Supervisors: Dr. Josemon Jacob (IIT Delhi) & Dr. Anubhav Saxena(GE-India).
Objective of Project: To study the effect of different variables like amount of crosslinker, monomer
composition, swelling medium on the properties of Silicone hydrogels and to study the percentage
conversion, cure kinetics and application of Silicone hydrogels in loading and release of drug.
