I have the expertise in polymer synthesis by free radical and controlled radical polymerization in solution and emulsion. I have hands on experience with the instruments like NMR, GPC, FT-IR, UV-VIS, GC, DLS, Goniometer, DSC, TGA, AFM etc. I can also characterize the polymers by SEM, TEM, XRD, MALDI-TOF etc.

Research Synopsis
Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) technique is very robust and versatile method in polymer synthesis. My research work involves the use of RAFT process to polymerize fluorinated acrylates/methacrylates in both conventional and surfactant-free emulsion system. I am focused on the preparation of fluorinated homo polymers, block co-polymers and nano-composites to show hydrophobicity and super hydrophobicity required for paint and coating application.
