Project Title: Designing of Bipolar Plate using PRO-E for application in fuel cell.
Designing of bipolar plate was done using PRO-E and then its prototype was made using FDM and then the prototype was further used to design the mold for a hand injection molding machine again using PRO-E. Further application of Autodesk Moldflow was done in designing of the mold. Material used for designing the bipolar plate was 85% graphite loaded PP.
B.E. Major Projects:
Project Title: Pyrolysis of waste polymer to extract liquid fuel for application in Diesel engine.
In this project first a pyrolysis unit was designed and then, the waste polymer was collected from the waste generated from injection molding machine, blow molding machine, blown film machine etc. The polymer used for pyrolysis was mostly HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE and PP. Then the polymer was charged in different ratios into the unit with a catalyst and heated to a specific temp at a specific pressure and the oil condensed and extracted from it. Further the oil was distilled and then benchmarked against the various properties of diesel and when found comparable, it was used successfully to run a diesel engine.
Accomplishments:
Developed and successfully industrialized MPD Adipate at a local Toller in Bhiwadi, having a monthly consumption of 8 – 10 Tons
Developed and successfully industrialized Sulfo-polyester Resin (Counter type of Eastek dispersion) at a Toller in Shanghai and in India for application in Malaysia and India, having a total consumption of more than 200 Tons/Year and having a total cost saving of € 1.2/kg
Presented seminar at Polymer Quest 2009, at IIT Kharagpur, on Recycling of Polymer Waste to obtain liquid fuel from it.
Certified in application of Pro E Wildfire 2.0 by the training conducted by TEQIP BIT, Ranchi.
