Job Profile:
Design and development of Water purifiers, involving design of plastic, rubber and sheet metal components.
Conceptualize incorporation of advanced features into Water purification devices
Study field complaints and resolve them. Consider them during FMEA tool application stage of new product development and resolve them permanently
Development of functional/aesthetic prototypes to study and present concepts
Design for manufacture (Injection molding process, sheet metal works etc.) and assembly (Cellular manufacturing and manual assembly lines)
Design for serviceability involving flushing of filter cartridges, replacement of filters and internal parts
Co-ordinate with Structural analysis service providers to study structural integrity of design under development
Co-ordinate with component suppliers, Injection molding Tool – makers, Sheet metal tool makers etc. at development stage
Packaging design involving EPS (Thermocol) material, Carton box etc., for Water purification devices undergoing long distance transit. Co-ordinate with IIP (Indian Institute of packaging) for clearance of packaging design.
