Title: “Modification of Natural Bentonite Clay to Synthesize Organoclay/ Nanoclay and their Composites with Nylon-6”
Place: Dept.Of Materials Science, Sardar Patel University, V.V.Nagar, Gujarat
Duration: 6 Months
Synopsis: The natural occurring clay in Bhuj, Gujarat, was purified under certain chemical treatment Which further modified to Nanoclay were characterized for Cation Exchange Capacity and Smecticity, result in enhancement of d-spacing conformed by XRD. Thermal properties Were increased with optimum loading wt% of nanoclay.
