8th SEMESTER PROJECT:
Title: Mechanical and abrasive behavior of fiber reinforced and particulate filler filled fiber reinforced polymer composites.
The objective of this project is to rank the materials based on mechanical and abrasive wear behavior of polymer composites. Tensile test and three body abrasive wear test was carried out for carbon fiber/vinyl ester, glass fiber /vinyl ester, Al2o3 filled glass fiber/epoxy, graphite filled glass fiber/epoxy which is mainly used for applications like ship building, sub miscible pumps, coal handling equipments in power plants, gear pumps handling industrial Coal fluids, agricultural machine components, Chute liners in power plants. Earthmoving equipments etc.
