Birla Tyres

Industrial Training
Organization: Phoenix Yule Limited
Time Period: September 2009 to October 2009.
Description: Achieved detail knowledge about the working procedure in chemical laboratory, textile laboratory, mill control laboratory, physical laboratory, research and development section, mixing and drug room, conveyor belt production, supply chain management, engineering department, purchase, personal and administration department. Also carried out an experiment to study the developed properties of rubber compounds prepared in Conventional Vulcanization (CV), Semi Efficient Vulcanization (SEV) and Efficient Vulcanization (EV) systems respectively.

M.Tech Project:
Title: Preparation, characterization and evaluation of Poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) / Graphene nanocomposite.
Supervisor: Dr. Bhabani K. Satapathy
Time Period: July 2012 onwards.
Description: PMMA/Graphene nanocomposites of different compositions were prepared by in-situ polymerization method and their thermal (DSC, TGA, DTA), structural, morphological (XRD, SEM, TEM), electrical (DC-conductivity), dielectric study, dynamic mechanical analysis and rheological characterization were performed and a comparative study of different compositions were carried out. Percolation threshold concentration was determined from the study of electrical properties. This nanocomposite may be used for the fabrication of gas sensor by observing the change in resistivity of sample when exposed to gases.

B.Tech Project
Title: Development of formulation of methyl cellulose for ophthalmic controlled drug delivery application.
Supervisor: Dr. Dipankar Chattopadhyay
Time Period: August 2009 to May 2010.
Description: Different series of solutions based on methyl cellulose (MC) were prepared and their gel studies were carried out. Some solutions were prepared for the study of blend of MC (SM- 4000), Fructose and different weight percentage of Sodium Citrate salt and some solutions are prepared for the study of blend of MC (SM- 4000), different molecular weights of PEG and NaCl. A comparative study of these different compositions was carried out to optimise the gelling time and gelling temperature to find out the most suitable composition for ophthalmic slow drug delivery application.

Future Goals

To seek a meaningful and challenging career in a dynamic and professionally managed organization that offers security and professional growth while being resourceful, innovative and flexible. The job should give me a good opportunity to prepare myself for higher responsibilities.
