Title of project : Photo degradation & Bio degradation Of High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) & Starch / Cotton Fibres Blend
Organisation: Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai, Institute of ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt of India
Description:
To make eco friendly plastics products.
HIPS is photo degradable & starch/cotton fibres is bio degradable. Hence starch/cotton fibres filled HIPS will be photo & bio degradable.
Title of project: Heat recovery from stack using glass tube air pre-heater
Organisation : Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL), Chennai, a group company of Indian Oil, Govt of India
Description :
In powerplants when the temperature of the stack is dropped below 160ºC, due to the presence of sulphur content in flue gas starts condensing which results in corrosion of tubes in the heat exchanger.
In order to avoid corrosion, steel tubes are replaced by boro silicate glass tubes.
Title of project: Design And Fabrication Of Catalytic Converter

To make eco friendly atmosphere.
It converts the toxic carbon mono oxide which emits from automobiles into carbon di-oxide.
