Work Experience

Project work done during the course:
Natural Weathering of Monolayer & Bilayer Polymer Films (PET & BOPP)
Here we studied about a method of degrading the polymer by exposing towards sunlight called Photo degradation.
Film used is PET and BOPP.
Degradation was analyzed by few testing methods like FTIR and UTM.
Photo degradation was done for a period of about three months (Oct – Dec 2007). Weathering parameters like temperature, UV and Visible light intensity plays a vital role in Degradation process of film materials and other parameters such as humidity, pressure and rainfall also influences the degradation process.
