Project: Ligno Cellulose Composites
Summary: The increase in energy consumption particularly in the past several decades has raised fears of exhausting the globe’s reserves of natural resources in the future. Biomass is the most important source for energy productions supplied by agriculture. This paper focuses on lignocelluloses based agricultural waste material as a fiber and filled material in composite matrix. Any substance that contains both cellulose and lignin is a lingo cellulosic. Lignocelluloses include wood agricultural crops, like jute or kenaf; agricultural residues, such as bagasses or corn stalks; grasses; and other plant substances. Incorporation of these materials in composites reduces dependency of petroleum based materials. After the processing, different mechanical and chemical properties of composites are checked. These composites can also be used as substitute for metals in automobile industry successfully. In conclusion, this agricultural waste as biomass can be used as renewable energy resource. Here we are applying best principles of GREEN CHEMISTRY. Hence greener and environmental friendly technologies
