PROJECT 1: I.C Engine performance testing with ‘Jatropha oil and Diesel’ blend as a fuel.          
SUMMARY: Project was designed to study the effect of reducing viscosity of jatropha oil by increasing its temperature using heating bath. Various tests conducted using different % of jatropha oil in blend with diesel (10%oil+90%diesel, same for 20 and 30%) to study the effect of reduced blend viscosity on emission and performance of diesel engine. The acquired data were analyzed for various parameters such as thermal efficiency, B.S.F.C. CO2, CO and hydrocarbons emission. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
Preparation of diesel and jatropha oil blends.
Measurement of viscosity using Red Wood viscometer.
Design and fabrication of heating oil bath.
Calculation of heat balance sheet and result analysis using various graphs.
Application: Commercial vehicles, Generator sets.

Project 2:Wood Planning Machine
Summary: The project is a machine which is used for finishing of wood. Electrical motor drives the rotor which has two cutters. Rotating cutter removes material from wood. We created a machine which compromises between manual working and highly automated planning machine. the main advantage of this project is less cost because of eliminating power screws and bevel gears.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design of shaft, pulley required for project.
Selection of material for project.
Preparation of process sheets.
Application: the planning machine is generally used to plane the wood. The planning of wood is necessary for its good appearance and dimensional accuracy. The planning of wood is necessary for making of various things such as Furniture, Agricultural tools, doors and windows.
