Projects
Title - Development and tribo-studies on carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites.
Supervisor - Prof. Jayashree Bijwe & Prof. A. K. Ghosh.
Description - Uses of conventional bush bearings pose common challenges in various sectors such as space (vacuum and cryogenic issues), radiation (nuclear issue), food processing and pharmaceuticals (hygiene issue), textile (high speed and product contamination issue), domestic appliances (noise, cleanliness and maintenance issues), instruments (noise and precision issues) etc., due to lubrication related problems, operational efficiency and prolonged life. This result in huge economy losses. Therefore, need to arise to develop polymeric composite bush bearings having special features such as self-lubricity, high compressive strength, high specific strength, resistance to wear, good sustainability of impacts, inertness towards chemicals and corrosion attacks, high capacity to absorb noise and vibrations, ease in fabrication into complex shapes (without machining and finishing) etc., for applications in the sectors as mentioned above.

Multipurpose Holder For Patients With Limited Hand GRIP (Jan, 2015 - May, 2015) : Under course of MEL 792, Injection Mould Design, got an opportunity to develop a Multipurpose Holder for Patients with Limited Hand Grip. Team of two, designed a product that is multifunctional (to assisting in brushing, eating etc.), multiuser, sterilisable. Along with product, it was challenging to designed mold for same. The project was successfully completed under guidance of Prof. Naresh Bhatnager.

Nanocomposites For Food Packaging Application. (Jun, 2013 – Dec 2013): B.Tech Major Project done at MIT, Aurangabad. Prepared Montmorillonite Nano-clay by intercalating Agents. Developed Composites with different Compositions. Characterization of composites.
