Project Work:
Final year project Study on curing characteristics of butyl innertube compound
and its ageing properties
Project work was carried out at ¡§Mysore Polymers and Rubber Products Pvt.Ltd.¨
The objective of the project was.
To prepare butyl inner tube compound by varying the composition of accelerator and
curing agents to reduce the cost of the compound.
To study the physical properties before and after ageing properties.
The project was carried out by conducting ten test cases. The compound was tested for cure
characteristics, tensile, hardness, specific gravity, heat ageing and set after ageing.
The result of each case was compared with standard values. By optimizing the ratio of
accelerator and sulphur a profit of 0.084 paisa was obtained per scooter tube.

Internship as a chemist in Mysore Paints & Varnishes Ltd.
Undergone internship at Mysore Paints from November 2015 to December 2015.
The internship was based on Paint production and quality control process
The training helped to understand the complete process of paint production.
Activities involved testing of the raw materials, mixing and finished product.

Extra-curricular Activities:
Organized and participated in Polycon 2014, the 6th National Conference on Advances in Polymer Materials jointly organized by Dept. of Polymer science and technology and Indian Rubber Institute, Karnataka Branch at SJCE, Mysore, during 25th-26th April 2014.
