Master’s Thesis(2013-2015):
Synthesis and Mechanical Studies of Mg-Hydroxyapatite Composites for biomaterial applications.
Synthesis of Hydroxyapatite(Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) by co-precipitation method and its characterization.
Developing slurry of different concentration of hydroxyapatite where Water/Alcohol mixture is used as solvent to get consistent slurry.
Developing and controlling pore diameter and thickness of the coating over polyurethane foam to get a 3-D interconnected porous scaffold.
Drying the scaffold at suitable temperature to remove moisture completely.
Sintering the scaffold at higher temperature to burn polyurethane foam and sinter the powder to get Hydroxyapatite scaffold followed by characterization.
Inserting Magnesium into the pores of the scaffold by melting them in a tubular furnace in an inert atmosphere and its compression testing.
Bachelor’s Project(2012-2013):
Study on mechanical behavior of groundnut shell powder reinforced Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene(ABS) polymer matrix composite.
Trained on the several aspects of new material development: energy balance, resource availability, cost estimation, safety aspects and quality control.
Developed composite have better flexural strength than ABS alone.
New developed composite have less percentage of polymer hence have property of degradation behavior.
Mini Projects:
Synthesis of NBT-BT through sol-gel and solid state route to improve piezoelectric property.
Optimizing the sintering properties of fly ash through Powder metallurgy route in order to enhance its mechanical and structural properties.
