On addition of CPE in PVC/CPVC Blend Impact Strength increases up to 30 phr
Tensile Strength, Hardness and Specific gravity decreases on increasing the phr of CPE.
Elongation % increases while HDT and Thermal stability decreases on increasing the phr of CPE.
IIT Delhi Project Profile
Title: Study of PP/ Nanoclay Nanocomposites
Duration : June 2008 – May 2009
Description :
Plastic and Rubber Compounding, Mechanical, Thermal, Rheological and Morphological properties of Nanocomposites is studied.
The ultimate goal is to develop PP Nanocomposites with optimum Mechanical, Thermal and Rheological properties for further applications and replacement for conventional PP.
The project is done in two stages.In the first stage we added EPDM-g-MA to PP and found optimized composition. Then we added Nanoclay into the optimized composition of the Blend.
The characterization of Nanocomposites is performed using advanced techniques such as XRD and SEM.
Further characterization is done in terms of Mechanical, Thermal and Rheological properties.
